Jerry Buesing President
Jerry Buesing formed the company in 1965 in Minnesota. He relocated the business to Arizona in the mid 80’s and began his philosophy of providing “Simply the Best” service for the construction industry in the Phoenix area. His primary concentration was in the area of excavation and backfill and road hauling. Over the years he has successfully expanded the business by adding a shoring team and a recycling center. Jerry has over 40 years experience as a leader in the construction industry and continues his vision of providing the best service at a competitive price by maintaining the company’s commitment to the community.

Cecil Wallace Vice President Of Operations
Cecil joined Buesing Corp in 1989 with several years of experience within the construction industry. As an Officer of the Corporation he holds the title of Vice President of Operations. Cecil coordinates all field operations on a daily basis including scheduling of personnel, subcontractors, and equipment and material purchases. He establishes and maintains relationships with owners, general contractors and sub-contractors. He is responsible for all aspects of initial employment process for field personnel, including hiring, training and supervising.

Kim Gibbs CFO
Kim brings to Buesing over 20 years in the accounting field and managerial experience. She joined Buesing Corp in 1994 after relocating from TN. As a Corporate Officer of the company, she is also responsible for the business, finance and accounting operations of Buesing Corp.

Bryon Matesi Executive Vice President of Construction
Bryon Matesi joined the Buesing team as Director of Pre-Construction in 2005 and was promoted to Executive Vice President of Construction in 2007. He has been in the construction industry for 18 years and has a Construction Management degree from Arizona State University. Bryon oversees Project Management, Project Coordinator, Field Operations and works closely with Estimating as well. He has been involved with all major projects and is considered a primary contact between General Contractors and Buesing Corp.

Bob Pettit Project Manager
Bob has over 10 years experience in earthwork and general construction and has been with Buesing Corp. since 2001. He attended various colleges studying construction, business, and information technology. Bob is currently a project manager for our excavation and shoring projects and previously estimated our trucking and construction projects. Bob also acts as our internal technical support person for all computer issues.

Scott Lane Project Manager
Scott Lane joined Buesing in 2007 as a Project Manager for mass excavation, hauling, and shoring projects. Scott has worked in Arizona and Southern California for 12 years managing large earthwork, excavation, and paving projects. He is an Arizona native and brings years of local knowledge to the business. He is a graduate of the Del E. Webb School of Construction at Arizona State University and a third generation earthmover. For fun Scott enjoys riding motorcycles at the sand dunes, snowboarding, and hanging out at the beach.

Kevin Somerville Vice President of Estimating/Business Development
Kevin has over 20 years experience in estimating and construction management in the Phoenix area and has a Construction Management Degree from ASU. Kevin was formerly a Construction Manager/Project Manager/Senior Estimator/Senior Project Engineer with an international engineering and consulting firm. Kevin joined Buesing in 2002 as Chief Estimator and manages the estimating staff. He is responsible for all construction budgets and hard bids while meeting company goals such as building customer relationships, profitability, and steady growth. With this responsibility, Kevin also pursues new bid opportunities, value engineering and scope development, and customer confidence in Buesing’s work.

Jon  Mooney Estimator
Jon has years of truck driving experience which affords him the knowledge to estimate our trucking jobs with a knowledge of what really happens in the field. He is responsible for estimating the vast majority of our trucking jobs, securing permits, and assisting with haul information for our construction projects. Jon is currently pursuing a business management degree.

Dan Zimmerman Take Off CAD specialist
Dan Zimmerman was recently acquired from the frigid depths of Minnesota. He is a business graduate from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He joined the Buesing team and took the role as a TakeOff CAD specialist. Dan has work related experience in estimating, excavation, paving and operating heavy equipment. Dan is committed to maintain the high level of quality that Buesing Corp. strives for every day of the week.

Jim Knapp Vice President of Equipment/Maint.
When Jim arrived on the scene in 1996, he came with a “can do” attitude and impeccable credentials. His sense of ownership with our fleet of equipment helps to ensure superior workmanship within his department. He is team oriented and extremely driven to provide our field with the tools necessary to achieve the goals set before them.

Kody Hilpp Shop Foreman
Kody is Shop Foreman and has worked with Buesing for over eight years. He supervises and performs welding and fabricating as well as servicing water trucks, belly dumps, and our Caterpillar loaders, dozers, and tractors. Before working at Buesing, Kody had his own equipment maintenance company in Lander, Wyoming. He has been married for 29 years and has two great kids, Heather and Eric.

Anna Hubert Assistant Controller
Anna has been with Buesing since 2002. She began as an accounting clerk and has since been responsible for Accounts Payable. Her past 18 years experience in the executive administration support field has helped ensure organization, timeliness and proficient computer skills in her current responsibilities.

Cheryl Kesterson Accounting Receivable Clerk
Cheryl joined Buesing Corp. in May 2006. She began as Administrative Assistant and is now in Accounts Receivable. Cheryl is responsible for Plant billing, Truck billing and reconciling accounts.

Kristin  Venable Accounts Payable/Project Coordinator
Kristin joined the Buesing team in 2006 bringing with her 15 years of experience in Accounting and Administration. Her role is in accounts payable, where she processes invoices, sets up new vendors and issues checks. In addition to A/P, she is also responsible for equipment accounting, pre-liens and job setup in the accounting system for trucking jobs.

Rachel Smith Operations Coordinator
Rachel joined Buesing Corp in May 2005. She works as Buesing Corp’s Operations Coordinator. Rachel coordinates all field operations on a daily basis including scheduling equipment and material purchases. She also maintains excellent relationships with sub-contractors and the equipment rental companies. She earned an Associates Degree in Visual Communications in 2002.

Mike Hassett Operations
For the past 4 years Mike has coordinated the field operations for Buesing Corp. His ability to evaluate situations and effectively organize and implement strategies has enabled him to secure our field needs seamlessly. He maintains an excellent rapport with equipment rental and trucking companies.

Rocky Fremont Superintendent
Rocky has been with Buesing for 15 years and is "Simply the Best." Since working here he has been a Superintendet on all of our major excavation projects with Perini, Hunt, Opus, and Ryan Construction. He is knowledgable of all types of shoring, excavation and backfill and is very production oriented. Safety and equipment maintenance are a number one focus with Rocky. He is also part of our instructional team and a true team-player. Rocky restores Mustangs with his bulldog named Shelby.

Steve Hixon General Superintendent
Five year ago, Steve was working for a drilling contractor, shoring an excavation for Buesing Corp. For him it was always a relief and a pleasure to work on a Buesing job. He felt our people were prepared, kept schedule commitments, and were willing to help out to get the job done. It was not a hard decision to make when he was offered the opportunity to head up a new shoring division for Buesing Corp. in the summer of 2003. Since then Buesing has self performed over 275,000 square feet of shored excavation walls under Steve's leadership. It truly has been a great merge. For Steve the best part is finally having the 'dirt guys' do what the 'dumb driller' tells them to do.

Lorin Gilbert Superintendent
Lorin has worked for Buesing for four years as a Superintendent. He has performed excellent work on the Phoenix Coyote Stadium, St. Joseph's Hospital, Mayo Hospital, Phoenix Crime Lab, Phoenix Art Museum, Safari Condominiums, 16th Street and Pacific Self Storage, ABC Tgen, Kierland Commons in Scottsdale, Phoenix Convention Center, Summit at Copper Square, and McAllister Village in Tempe. He is Competent Person Certified and enjoys teaching people how to learn, understand, and appreciate the business. Buesing appreciates his ability to resolve issues in a rational and timely manner. Before coming to Buesing he worked with commercial site grading, freeway construction, and underground utilitities in the Phoenix area. He has been married to Lorene for 22 years and has two children Riley and Heather and a dog named Dexter.

Allen Neely Superintendent
Allen has been a Superintendent at Buesing Corp. since November of 2005. Prior to Buesing, Allen worked in the Union doing mass excavation for hotels and casinos in the Las Vegas/Reno/Laughlin area. His recent projects include Raintree Corporate Center, Phoenix Convention Center, and the Downtown Sheraton Hotel. On some projects, he has literally worked day and night. In his free time Allen restores custom bikes.

Pete Eldridge Superintendent
Born in Schweinfurt, Germany, Pete has spent the last 20 years working in the California excavation industry. He has a combined twelve years of experience as a foreman and superintendent. As Buesing's most recent addition to our excellent foreman/superintendent team, Pete has worked on nearly all of our current jobs in progress.

David Marcy Foreman
Dave Marcy worked in land survey before coming to Buesing in the fall of 2005. His hard-working attitude and ability to face challenges advanced him from operator to Foreman in a short amount of time. As Foreman, Dave headed-up the Salt River Pima Underground Storage Project in Glendale for the duration and most recently worked on the Phoenix Convention Center project and Mesa Police Technical Services Building. He is a certified EMT and has two awesome dogs named Gabby and Diesel.

Clint Lancaster Foreman
Clint has enjoyed working with Buesing Corp. since March, 2003. Among the many reasons he likes Buesing are the people. Although Clint started working as an operator, he moved into a Foreman position quickly and has two brothers who work for the company as well. Clint displays a great deal of respect for Buesing and the level of pride and professionalism that goes into every project. When he is not at work he spends time with his wife, Shannon, their two children, Taylor and Samuel, and their family dog Ozzy. He also likes to spend time in the desert riding motorcycles, hunting, and fishing at the lake.

Eric Hilpp Foreman
Eric works on our shoring crew, hauling equipment and moving around where needed. He has been involved in the shoring of Scottsdale Waterfront and the Downtown Phoenix Sheraton Hotel. Eric's adaptability to new situations, initiative, and personable attitude are key to his success as a shoring Foreman. He came to Buesing after serving 4 years in the Army.
